REX MILLER TRIBUTE
AN AUDIO AND PICTORIAL TRIBUTE TO WHBQ 1976-1980
I have often been asked about where “oidar” came from and/or what does it means. I am always amazed that some don’t readily see that it is "radio", backwards. When I was at XEROK in El Paso, I needed “stuff” to fill weekend hours and came across “Oidar Wavelength”, a syndicated futuristic oldies show. I have no idea who produced it or where it came from, but, I used it, I believe, on Sunday nights on XEROK. I was fascinated with the idea that this futuristic show could be heard by listeners in virtually every state west of the Mississippi. When I began publishing my ebook in January of 1999 and had to come up with a domain name, oidar dot com came to me for whatever reason. With all that being said, click on the program LP cover to listen to a sample of the show that inspired OIDAR.COM
